In Notre Fille, I sought to express that delicate balance: the resilience to keep moving forward, and the gentle, intentional act of keeping memories alive.

It is about holding onto what is precious and fragile...treating the memory of a loved one as something to be cherished and protected, even as time moves relentlessly on. It is about the hope that the heart will not forget, that the details will remain vivid, and that love will remain untouched by the years.

The original piece is created in charcoal, pyrography, watercolor, and acrylic on wood. Each mark and wash holds its own weight, combining softness and permanence, as the heart does when it carries someone forever.
